New Haven Ballet's The Nutcracker

New Haven Ballet proudly presents Artistic Director Lisa Kim Sanborn’s exciting full length production of The Nutcracker starring Sara Adams and Harrison Coll from New York City Ballet, and performed by New Haven Ballet students.

This wonderful classic, set to music by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, tells the story of the Von Stahlbaum family as they celebrate the holidays with a festive party, and brings to life a dream young Clara Von Stahlbaum experiences after the party ends. From her Uncle Drosselmeyer’s enchanting nephew, who charms Clara at the party, to the daring battle between the fierce Mouse King and brave soldiers lead by the heroic Nutcracker Prince, to the Land of Snow and eventual journey through the Land of Sweets, this magical holiday tradition is a delight all will enjoy.
