The NH Book Festival is thrilled to welcome Walter Mosley as its 2025 keynote author. Author of the beloved long-running Easy Rawlins mystery series, Mosley is the author of 60 works of fiction, nonfiction, memoir, and playwriting. He’s had a number of works adapted for movies and TV, including Devil in a Blue Dress, with Denzel Washington playing Easy Rawlins, Always Outnumbered, Always Outgunned, The Last Days of Ptolemy Grey with Samuel Jackson, and The Man in My Basement with Willem Dafoe. His short fiction and essays have been published in a wide range of outlets, including The New York Times, The Los Angeles Times, and The Nation.
His many awards include an O. Henry Award, The Mystery Writers of America’s Grand Master Award, a Grammy, several NAACP Image awards, and PEN America’s Lifetime Achievement Award. In 2020 he was awarded the Distinguished Contribution to American Letters Award from the National Book Foundation.
Mosley lives in Brooklyn and Los Angeles.
