We love the Akron zoo so much we became members! Perfect for entertaining three kids for a few hours! The animals are great. My kids favorite is the otter slide! Also for horticulture bluffs the garden has a beautiful assortment of flowers and plants. It is a smaller zoo, but it has so much character!

Do you like Akron? Do you like zoos? Than this is the place for you!! Lions and tigers and bears, oh my!! No room for scarecrows here. Feed some goats and sheep as you walk by, if you don't you may hear them cry. Come young or old and have a blast even time to see it twice if you walk fast!!

I did a behind the scenes tour and it was really fun! I just wish we could have taken pictures if the animals up close or had a member of the staff take pictures of us near the animals and feeding them. This was my first time as this zoo and it seemed very nice. The slide in the otter area is really cool.

This place was great fun. Play areas EVERYWHERE. Zoo staff were present and sharing information on the animals with guests. There is a slide through the otter swimming area... A SLIDE. My kids loved it. Do be prepared because it is built on a hill and some of it is steep if you have a heavy stroller.

We always love a trip the Akron Zoo. The zoo is compact and you can see a ton of animals in a small amount of time and space. A great way to spend the morning with the kids. At the top there also some great views of the city of Akron. The food is reasonably priced for a zoo/attraction too. Parking is not free.
