Chicago Symphony Orchestra
Founded in 1891, the Chicago Symphony Orchestra is consistently hailed as one of the greatest orchestras in the world. In collaboration with the best conductors and guest artists on the international music scene, the CSO performs well over one hundred concerts each year at its downtown home, Symphony Center and at the Ravinia Festival on Chicago’s North Shore. Music lovers outside Chicago enjoy the sounds of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra through best-selling recordings and frequent sold-out tour performances in the United States and around the globe.
A must if you would like to experience Chicago cultural events. Conductor Riccardo Muti does a magnificent job at accentuating the talents of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra in his arrangements. Symphony Hall is so elegant and has great acoustics. You will not be let down if you have thirsty ears for music.
One of the best symphonies in the world. I recommend catching a Muti performance if you can. A must do for any music enthusiast, local or visiting.
I was invited to a reading at the Chicago Symphony Orchestra some time ago. To be truthful, I was not sure what a reading was. I was pleasantly surprised by what I saw. Just in case you don't know either, a reading is a rehearsal by the orchestra, I learned so much about how a piece is interpreted by a director. Now I know why a piece sounds very different whe play even by the same orchestra, it is how the director interpretes the work of any given composer. Very cool!
The MONK'S Jazz Celebration Was Outstanding & It Was An Honor To Be In Attendance💫
Exquisite music in an amazing setting! It's so worth seeing shows here. The CSO never disappoints!!!
