The Columbus Chapel and Boal Mansion Museum are a National Historic Site near State College PA and Penn State University telling the story of America as seen through eight generations of the Boal family and their ancestors including Columbus, Napoleon and Richard Henry Lee (signer of the Declaration of Independence). The site includes the centuries-old Columbus Chapel, inherited and imported to Boalsburg from Spain in 1909 and containing the Admiral's Desk of Christopher Columbus, fine European paintings and statues and two pieces of the True Cross of Jesus.
