Dover International Speedway
Built from the ground up by Dover Motorsports, Inc. (NYSE: DVD), Dover International Speedway continues to be one of the most unique venues on the NASCAR circuit. The facility is known for its concrete surface, severely banked corners and signature trophies, and is a favorite amongst fans and drivers alike.
Dover International Speedway, known as the world’s fastest one-mile concrete oval, has been hosting NASCAR events since it first opened with the inaugural running of the “Mason-Dixon 300” on July 6, 1969. With a unique blend of speeds in excess of 175 mph, and banking of nine degrees on its narrow straightaways and 24 degrees in its sweeping turns, Dover has earned the nickname the “Monster Mile” for its tough nature on both man and machine.

What a wonderful, relaxing place. My son is getting married, and we went with the bride, her sisters, and her other bridesmaids. We all had a lovely time. The masseuses will talk as much or as little as you like and will tailor the touch as well. I feel so wonderful, everything that hurt doesn't any more. I would love to come back.
We were at the track but only one horse power.. Not nascar.. We watched our first harness races.. Was fun watching them trot while we at dinner. Not crowded when we were there in a Wednesday night in March. Fun way to kill a couple hours while we grabbed dinner.
Known as the Monster Mile we were treated to a terrific race with plenty of action, passing, fast pit stops and multiple lead changes. Ultimately, Jimmy Johnson wont the race on a bright sunny beautiful day. It was a day full of excitement outside the track, from being greeted by the Monster Statue, NASCAR Experience, fly over by the Dover Air Reserve jets, parachuting on to the racetrack, on track entertainment by X-bikers and finishing with a great show on the track itself. Went home well satisfied from a great day of fun and race at Dover International Speedway.
Great place to see a race. You can bring in your own beer and snacks as long as it us in a soft sided cooler that meets size requirements. Great seats all around the track...remember to sit high so you can see all the action. Fun things outside the track for pre-race and the casino is a good place to take a break. Be sure to go into the grandstands a bit early on Cup Race day, the security lines can be long.
Having become disillusioned with Maryland Casino's, we decided to go back to Dover Downs. We were welcomed with open arms, great discounts and wonderful service. Try for yourself and don't forget to make a reservation at Michelle's for their Sunday brunch. It is awesome.
