History:

MainStrasse Village Association was formed in 1979 and is dedicated to improving the image and recognition of the area, by encouraging and assisting business and tourism development and contributing to the ongoing beautification of this 19th century German neighborhood. In order to accomplish its goals, MainStrasse Village hosts several festivals each year including Mardi Gras, Maifest, Goettafest, River Raid Renaissance Festival and Oktoberfest. We also host many other smaller events including the First Friday Gallery Hops and special holiday celebrations.

MainStrasse Village is a designated national historic district that is the home of Old World charm and New World fun. We offer a unique variety of shops, restaurants, pubs and entertainment and we pride ourselves on offering a safe environment to visitors and residents alike.
