Mission Statement

The United States Hockey Hall of Fame was dedicated in 1973 as the "National Shrine of American Hockey", to be America's hockey showplace to honor the legends of the game with the "Great Wall of Fame" of Enshrinees, and to preserve the precious memories of ice hockey in the United States. To date, the Hall has honored 145 outstanding coaches, players, builders, administrators and two Olympic teams who have contributed to the success and promotion of American hockey. In May 2007, an agreement between the Hall and USA Hockey was established whereas USA Hockey will take over the Induction process and the Hall's official name will now become the "United States Hockey Hall of Fame Museum."
